제20회 DIMF는 오는 6월 19일부터 7월 6일까지 대구지역 주요 공연장 및 대구 전역에서 열린다.
The 20th DIMF will run from June 19 through July 6, with performances staged across Daegu’s major venues and throughout the city.
올해는 공식초청작 14개 및 창작지원작 6개, 대학생뮤지컬페스티벌 8개, 특별공연 2개, 리딩공연 5개 등 총 35개 작품이 공연된다.
This year’s program comprises 35 productions in total: 14 officially invited works, 6 projects supported through the festival’s creative program, 8 entries in the university musical festival, 2 special performances and 5 staged readings.

축제의 공동 개막작은 '투란도트'와 '어둠 속의 하얼빈' 등 2편이다.
The festival will open with two co-headliners: Turandot and Harbin in the Dark.
'투란도트'는 한국 창작뮤지컬 최초 동유럽 라이선스 수출 성과를 낸 DIMF 대표 창작뮤지컬이다. '어둠 속의 하얼빈'은 20세기 초 중국·서양·러시아 문화가 교차하던 하얼빈을 배경으로 한 서스펜스 첩보물이다.
Turandot, DIMF’s flagship original musical, made history as the first Korean-created musical to secure a licensing export to Eastern Europe. Harbin in the Dark is a suspenseful spy thriller set in early-20th-century Harbin, when Chinese, Western and Russian cultures converged.
공동 폐막작은 '인투 더 우즈'와 '보옥'이다.
The festival’s closing nights will also feature two co-headliners: Into the Woods and Bo-ok.
'인투 더 우즈'는 스티븐 손드하임의 정교한 음악과 위트 있는 가사, 익숙한 동화를 뒤집는 반전 서사로 사랑받아 온 명작이다. '보옥'은 중국 고전 소설 홍루몽을 재해석한 대작 뮤지컬이다.
Into the Woods remains a modern classic, celebrated for Stephen Sondheim’s intricate score, sharp wit and its subversive retelling of familiar fairy tales. Bo-ok is an ambitious new musical that reimagines the Chinese classic Dream of the Red Chamber.
일본 뮤지컬 '고스트 & 레이디'와 '신 쓰루히메 전설', 프랑스 뮤지컬 '레 비르튀오즈', 영국 뮤지컬 '바버숍페라: 토니 & 더 가이즈!' 등이 공연된다.
International offerings include Japan’s Ghost & Lady and The New Legend of Tsuruhime, France’s Le Virtuose, and the British production Barbershop Opera: Tony & The Guys!
K-뮤지컬로는 '프랑켄슈타인 콘서트' '셰익스피스' '완벽한 하루' '피아노의 숲' '유 앤 아이(You&It)' '슬랩스틱-스케르조' 등이 관객을 만난다.
The K-musical lineup features titles such as Frankenstein Concert, Shakespeare, A Perfect Day, Piano Forest, You & It, and Slapstick — Scherzo.
제20회 DIMF 창작지원사업에는 '다시, 로미오와 줄리엣' 및 '탁영금', '보들레르', '성주_집 잃은 신의 서울 표류기', '슈르르카', '희재' 등이 선정됐다.
Projects chosen for DIMF’s creative support program include Again, Romeo and Juliet; Tak Yeong-geum; Baudelaire; Seongju: The God Who Lost Its Home — Seoul Drift; Shururuka; and Hee-jae.
특별공연은 '뮤지컬 독립군아리랑 의백'과 '타임리스(TIMELESS): 박태준-하나의 이름, 세 개의 인생' 등이다.
Special presentations will include the musical Independence Army Arirang Uibaek and TIMELESS: Park Tae-joon — One Name, Three Lives.
대학생뮤지컬페스티벌에는 계명대, 단국대, 대구과학대, 백석대, 백석예술대, 예원예술대, 중앙대학교, 중국 등 국내·외 8개 대학이 참여한다.
Eight universities from Korea and abroad will take part in the University Musical Festival, including Keimyung University, Dankook University, Daegu Science University, Baekseok University, Baekseok Arts University, Yewon Arts University, Chung-Ang University and a representative institution from China.
제20회 DIMF 개막식과 개막축하공연은 오는 6월 20일 대구코오롱야외음악당에서 뮤지컬 스타들이 함께하는 갈라콘서트 형식으로 진행된다. 제20회 DIMF 어워즈는 7월 6일 계명아트센터에서 열린다.
The DIMF opening ceremony and gala concert will be held June 20 at the Daegu Kolon Outdoor Music Hall, featuring a lineup of musical theater stars. The DIMF Awards ceremony is scheduled for July 6 at the Keimyung Art Center.

배성혁 딤프 집행위원장은 “20주년 맞은 딤프에 대해 대구시가 자부심을 느껴도 되지않을까 생각한다”며 “지금까지 딤프에 많은 일조를 하신 20명을 선정하는 프로그램을 마련해 개막식때 이들에 대해 발표를 할 예정”이라고 말했다.
Bae Seong-hyeok, chair of DIMF’s executive committee, said, “I think Daegu has every reason to take pride in DIMF’s 20th anniversary.” He added, “We’ve prepared a program to honor 20 individuals who have made significant contributions to the festival, and we will announce their names at the opening ceremony.”
