Namyangju City is staging a special festival that will transform the Lee Seok-young New Media Library into an imagination playground for Children's Day.
On April 29, the city announced it will host the community-driven festival "2026 Seokyoung Land: Wagle-Wagle Imagination Park" at the Lee Seok-young New Media Library to mark Children's Day.
Titled "Where a child's imagination becomes reality," the event converts library spaces into hands-on play areas designed for children and their families.
The festival opens at 1:30 p.m. with an interactive program called "Wagle-Wagle Playground" in the library's first- and second-floor lobbies.
Highlights include a global toy exhibit, circus-themed challenges (juggling and balance), mask- and hand-puppet-making workshops, media-interactive coloring stations and a photo zone. The lineup centers on hands-on activities that children can see, touch and enjoy.
At 7 p.m., performances under the "Swinging Theater" banner will begin on the library's first-floor tiered seating. An accordion ensemble and a comedy-circus troupe will present a family-friendly program.
A city official said, "We prepared this so families can enjoy hands-on activities and live performances at the library on Children's Day. We hope it becomes a memorable experience for every family."
The event is open to all residents. For details, visit the Lee Seok-young New Media Library website or call the library for more information.
