The HPT consists of online satellite qualifiers that feed into a live, in-person tournament, where players compete in Hold'em on HanGame Royal Hold'em. Cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is participating as a host, and SOOP will handle event operations. Since the game's relaunch last November, NHN has positioned HPT as HanGame’s flagship branded live event.
The online satellites run four times daily — 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m., and 11:30 p.m. — for 57 days through April 30. Players can join directly through HanGame Royal Hold'em without separate registration. Each satellite awards 15 offline tournament entry tickets that players will compete for.
The live tournament takes place May 1–3 at the Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Center in Seodaemun District, Seoul. On Days 1 and 2, a single offline entry ticket grants access to Main Event Day 1. Players who survive Day 1 advance to Day 2; Day 1 also allows re-entry using one ticket.
On Day 3 (Main Event Day 2), competitors will play for 1 billion KRW in Bitcoin and the championship trophy (approximately $750,000).
