[EPN Enpinow reporter Yoon Dong-geun] Tottenham Hotspur face a serious end-of-season crisis.

On April 28, Matt Law of The Telegraph reported that Dominic Solanke is likely to be sidelined for an extended period after suffering a hamstring injury against Wolverhampton.

Medical scans indicate Solanke will need at least three weeks and could be out as long as eight. With no firm return date, it is unlikely he will feature again this season.

Solanke started the recent match against Wolverhampton but limped off around the 40th minute. Local outlets feared a serious problem, and tests confirmed a hamstring tear that will keep him out for a minimum of three weeks.

Earlier this season, Solanke missed the first half of the campaign with an ankle injury. He returned in January and bolstered the squad, but this fresh setback now all but ends his season.

Tottenham lost two key players in the same Wolves match. Xavi Simons also suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the game and is expected to miss the remainder of the campaign. The club has not officially ruled either player out for the season, but both are anticipated to face lengthy absences.

Tottenham currently sit 18th in the Premier League, in the relegation zone, and trail 17th-place West Ham by just two points. They only recently notched their first league win of the year against Wolves, but consecutive injuries to key players have increased uncertainty ahead of their next four fixtures.

With several young players sidelined and attacking options significantly weakened, manager Roberto De Zerbi and Tottenham now face a critical stretch that will require a dramatic turnaround.

While the club has not formally announced season-ending rulings, both prolonged absences could prove decisive in Tottenham’s fight to avoid relegation.
