At approximately 8:44 p.m. on April 4, a fire broke out at an apartment building in Jeongja-dong, Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.


Firefighters dispatched 73 personnel and 27 pieces of equipment to battle the blaze; it was fully extinguished by about 9 p.m.


The fire started on the ninth floor of the 22-story building. Roughly 100 residents evacuated, and one woman in her 50s inhaled smoke and sustained minor injuries.


Local police are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
