[iNews24 reporter Kim Dong-hyun] Actor Lee Jae-ryong, accused of fleeing the scene after a drunk-driving crash in Seoul’s Gangnam district, has appeared at a police station and is being questioned.
According to police on the 10th, the Seoul Gangnam Police summoned Lee as a suspect on charges of drunk driving and leaving the scene. He is being questioned about the incident.

He had been scheduled for questioning around 3 p.m., but arrived about an hour early, reportedly to avoid reporters.
Police say he crashed into the center median near Cheongdam Station on Seoul Subway Line 7 at about 11:03 p.m. on the 6th and then fled the scene.
The crash caused no injuries, but it damaged about 10 sections of the median barrier.
After the crash, he returned home, parked the car and went to an acquaintance’s residence. He was taken into custody roughly three hours after the incident; authorities say his blood-alcohol level was at the threshold for a driver’s license suspension when he was detained.

During initial questioning, Lee denied the drunk-driving charge, but on the 7th he admitted to it, saying, "I drank four drinks of soju and drove."
Police said their investigation is focusing on exactly when he drank and how much he consumed that day.
Lee previously had his driver’s license revoked in 2003 after hitting a taxi while driving under the influence in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam. In June 2019, he was arrested on charges that, while heavily intoxicated, he knocked over and damaged a bowling-alley sign in Gangnam.
