Singer Lim Jisoo has recorded the first original soundtrack (OST) for the drama Climax.

Lim Jisoo’s contribution, the Climax OST titled “Rise,” is slated for release on March 17 at 6 p.m. KST across major music platforms.

Climax examines the peak of ambition surrounding South Korea’s highest seats of power. The series assembles a stellar cast — Joo Ji‑hoon, Ha Ji‑won, Nana, Oh Jung‑se, Cha Joo‑young — and is directed by Lee Ji‑won, who won the Best New Director award at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

“Rise” channels the rush toward greater heights and an obsessive pursuit of power. The song symbolically reflects the inner conflicts of characters like Tae‑seop (played by Joo Ji‑hoon) and Sang‑ah (played by Ha Ji‑won), as well as others driven by their own ambitions.

A sweeping, weighty intro grabs listeners right away, and Lim Jisoo’s distinctive tone drives the track with explosive energy, amplifying the drama’s tense narrative.

Music director Hong Dae‑sung led the Climax soundtrack, and lyricist JIDA — known for evocative work on projects such as Jirisan and This Star We Need — contributed the lyrics, enhancing the song’s craftsmanship. Their collaboration is expected to deepen the show’s atmosphere and heighten viewer immersion.

Lim Jisoo first came to public attention after earning praise from judges on audition programs including Sing Again 3, Vocal Play, and Tomorrow’s National Singer.

The Climax OST “Rise,” featuring Lim Jisoo, will be available on major music platforms on March 17 at 6 p.m. KST.
