Flight time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
The inauguration at Sacheon Airport was attended by Seom Air CEO Choi Yong-deok and company officials, along with Park Wan-su, governor of South Gyeongsang Province; Park Dong-sik, mayor of Sacheon; Cho Gyu-il, mayor of Jinju; Kim Kyung-soo, former chair of the Local Era Committee; and Lee Hwan-ju, director of Sacheon Airport.
In his welcome remarks, Lee Hwan-ju said, “I am confident Seom Air’s launch will inject new energy into residents’ daily travel, the local economy and tourism.” Governor Park Wan-su congratulated the carrier, saying he hopes Seom Air and South Gyeongsang will develop together, like the word “seom” (sum), which implies bringing things together.
Seom Air CEO Choi Yong-deok described Sacheon as “the center of South Korea’s aerospace industry,” adding, “With four daily round trips, Seom Air aims to provide essential air connectivity for residents of Sacheon, Jinju and the broader South Gyeongsang region.”
