[RealFood=Reporter Jin Kim] Lotte Hotel & Resorts announced it will run a special-price promotion, Kimchi Golden Hour Festa 2026, from the 23rd through the 25th.Kimchi Golden Hour Festa is a limited, three-day event held twice a year—once around November when Haenam’s napa cabbage season begins, and again at the end of April. During the Festa, Lotte Hotel offers all kimchi products at a 30% discount off the regular price.
The promotion is available exclusively on Lotte Hotel’s official online store, Lotte Hotel e-SHOP, and is open to all Lotte Hotel Rewards members.
Haenam winter napa cabbage, typically harvested between mid-November and early December, is a go-to for kimchi. Grown in loess soil, it’s rich in minerals and, thanks to coastal breezes, develops a firm, crunchy texture.
Lotte Hotel’s kimchi features gochugaru made from Yeongyang-grown chili peppers harvested from the hotel’s own fields. The recipe layers premium salted anchovies (yukjeot), salted yellow corbina, and fresh shrimp to create deep umami. No artificial sweeteners are used; instead, natural ingredients—tomato, hydrangea-leaf tea, pear, and maesil (Korean plum)—add sweetness and complexity.
A Lotte Hotel & Resorts spokesperson said, "We hope more guests will sample Lotte Hotel kimchi made with seasonal napa cabbage."
