[NewsCulture reporter Park Dong-seon] K-pop band LUCY has heightened global anticipation with a highlights medley that revives childlike wonder amid a stark reality and hints at the arrival of a finely crafted new album.
Mystic Story released the highlights medley video for LUCY’s second full-length album 'Childish' on its official social channels on April 23.
The clip weaves highlights from five new songs into vibrant live-band performances and sleek, cinematic visuals.
The medley opens with 'Sprout,' a stirring piece framed by a lush forest. It then shifts to 'Chameleon,' staged in a decaying concrete building with flickering lights and a recurring lyric that evokes something “pitch‑black.” 'Porch Light (Feat. Nam Je-hyun)' unfolds around a nighttime phone booth and a walking path, and 'Every Last Detail' adds an intimate, reflective moment. Those varied settings amplify each song’s distinct emotional core.
The clear standout is the title track 'All-Ages.' Reunited in the forest, the four members deliver a buoyant, refreshing band sound that points to the lively stage energy set to carry forward the album’s narrative of rediscovering childlike wonder, first explored on their debut LP, 'Childhood.'
The medley’s pacing builds excitement not only for the five new tracks—shaped in part by the members’ active involvement—but also for the 'Childish ver.' reworkings of earlier songs, newly voiced by Shin Gwang-il.
Meanwhile, LUCY will stoke comeback buzz with a special busking event at an undisclosed Seoul location on April 25, then release their second full-length album, 'Childish,' on April 29. They will stage a solo concert, 'LUCY 9th CONCERT 'ISLAND',' at Seoul Olympic Park’s KSPO DOME on May 16–17.
