Kakao has introduced a 'Shared Use' feature in KakaoTalk Gift, letting friends and family share vouchers with ease.

On the 29th, Kakao added a 'Shared Use' tab to the KakaoTalk Gift inbox, enabling vouchers that were previously stored individually to be shared with members of a family account.

Until now, sharing vouchers meant screenshotting or copying messages every time. This new feature cuts those steps and lets people manage vouchers right inside the Gift inbox.

Getting started is simple: create a family account in the 'Shared Use' tab or join one by invitation, and you're ready. Connected members can view and manage vouchers together in the Gift inbox—no image forwarding required.

Members can also check a shared voucher's expiration and usage status in real time, and the system sends alerts when a voucher is redeemed to prevent accidental double use. There's no need to save or resend images—vouchers can be viewed and redeemed directly from the Gift inbox.

Kakao says the feature shifts voucher use from an individual activity to a shared experience among family and friends, and the company plans to keep enhancing the Gift service's user experience.

A Kakao spokesperson said, \"The 'Shared Use' feature is designed to make vouchers more flexible and strengthen connections between members. We will continue refining the service so users can enjoy more convenient and richer gifting experiences.\"
