Yong Jun-hyung's Bold Move: Leaving His Agency After Years of Conflict

[Sports Today Reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Singer Yong Jun-hyung has said he is going independent after a dispute with his former agency.

On the 30th, Yong posted on his social media that he had repeatedly asked the agency to correct a long-standing failure to fulfill key contractual obligations.

He wrote that those issues remained unresolved for years and ultimately made it impossible to maintain a relationship of trust. Citing that breakdown, he said he notified the agency on March 12, 2026, that he was terminating the exclusive contract under applicable law, and he has received no reply to date.

Yong added that he considers the contract legally terminated and will continue his activities independently, promising to show a stronger side going forward.

Yong debuted in 2009 as a member of the group Beast (which rebranded as Highlight in March 2017). He married singer HyunA in October 2024.
