[SPOTV News reporter Heo Na-won] Actress Kim Jung-nan shared an anecdote about the late Lee Soon-jae.

In a video posted to her personal YouTube channel on the 6th, Kim recounted how Lee rarely put down his script while working, out of concern for the younger cast.

She began, \"Even after doing this a long time, it still feels like the first time,\" and added that she had heard Mr. Lee felt the same way.

\"When we filmed the drama together, he never once let go of the script,\" Kim recalled.

\"As you age, your memory fades and your judgment can weaken,\" she said. \"He worried that if he flubbed a line, the junior actors would have to redo the take several times, so he carried the script with him all day.\"

Kim said she now needs to read lines several times to absorb them. \"Acting alongside younger colleagues makes me more nervous because I don't want to show any weakness,\" she said. \"That's why Mr. Lee's example still comes to mind,\" she added, expressing her affection for the late actor.

Kim co-starred with Lee in the 2016 SBS drama Yes, That's Right.

Lee died on Nov. 25 last year at age 91. In the year before his death, he appeared in a production of Waiting for Godot, demonstrating his dedication to acting until the end.
