On the broadcast on the 4th of MBC's variety show 'The Manager,' Lee Elijah highlighted her close friendship with Jang Geun-suk.
Lee opened the conversation by bringing up 'Miss Trot 4' and chided him for not attending the semifinal taping. Jang drew laughs when he responded, \"What am I supposed to do if you tell me to come just two days before?\"
\"People need to know Lee Elijah's voice and charisma — she reminded me of myself,\" Jang said. He also noted that he formed the hobby band Chimiro, which once reached No. 1 on the Oricon weekly chart.
Lee said she has fond memories of featuring with Chimiro. She pointed out how difficult it can be for actors to transition into singing and recalled when Jang held a solo concert at Tokyo Dome. Jang added that, since middle school, he had believed he would perform at Tokyo Dome within ten years.
He even dubbed her \"the female Jang Geun-suk,\" arguing that their career paths have followed similar arcs — from idolizing singers to pursuing advanced degrees.
