On the 20th, he posted on social media that he had watched his favorite act, Big Bang, and seen Taeyang and Daesung perform. He wrote that he filmed a fun 30-minute segment with Jiyong, had a great time and felt happy, adding, "Thank you so much, GD!!" along with several photos and videos.
In the photos, Kwanghee is smiling alongside Big Bang members G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung. In a short clip, he exchanges playful hand gestures with G-Dragon, shakes his whole body and dances — a moment that drew laughs from viewers. G-Dragon, in particular, projected an innocent, childlike delight.
Kwanghee and G-Dragon sat side by side backstage at Coachella and made small talk; G-Dragon quipped, "What's going on? Wow!" While filming Big Bang's onstage set, Kwanghee waved his camera around in clear excitement.
After seeing Kwanghee's posts, G-Dragon commented jokingly, "You've violated my portrait rights," and Kwanghee playfully replied, "Ah, just let it slide this once." Fans responded with remarks such as "Same as always," "He even went to Coachella," "Dancing so excitedly backstage," "G-Dragon is adorable," and "Didn't the other '88s' come?"
The pair were dubbed the "88s" on MBC's 2024 program Good Day and formed a group of friends that includes Kim Soo-hyun, Jung Hae-in, Lee Soo-hyuk and Im Si-wan — a bond they have maintained since.
Meanwhile, on the 19th (local time), Big Bang took the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California and announced plans for a 20th-anniversary world tour. G-Dragon called the performance "an important turning point" and said the Big Bang world tour will begin this August.
