Interior Inspired by Traditional Korean Architecture
Showcases Signature Collections Including Jewelry, Watches and Accessories

On the 15th, Shinsegae Duty Free announced it celebrated a grand reopening on the 12th after renovating the Cartier boutique at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 1 (T1). The overhaul is meant to blend Cartier’s signature identity with Korean aesthetic influences to create a distinctly elevated retail environment.
The boutique’s champagne-gold façade—Cartier’s hallmark—delivers instant visual drama. Inside, a palette of red and beige drawn from traditional Korean architecture is balanced with wood-panel details, giving the space a timeless, refined atmosphere.
A sculptural 'focus wall' inspired by the sweeping curve of the Incheon Bridge sits alongside Cartier’s iconic 'Panthère' motif, amplifying the boutique’s symbolic storytelling and visual impact.
Since winning the DF4 (fashion and boutique) concession at Incheon Airport in 2023, Shinsegae Duty Free has been steadily expanding its luxury roster. It now anchors a strong 'luxury fashion boutique zone' alongside global names like Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Celine.
The Cartier renovation links the brand’s full collection—from jewelry and watches to fragrances and accessories—so travelers can enjoy a cohesive, elevated shopping experience.
A Shinsegae Duty Free representative said, "The Cartier boutique’s fusion of Korean aesthetics with the brand’s identity has resonated strongly with international visitors. We will continue expanding partnerships with global high-end brands to raise Incheon Airport’s profile as a luxury retail destination."
