[Herald Economy = Reporter Jo Yong-jik] Yuwon Golf Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) announced on the 3rd that it awarded a total of 45,000,000 KRW (approximately $33,750 USD) in \"Golf Dream Scholarships\" to 26 promising young golfers from the Jeju region.Selection for the Jeju scholars was based on results from the \"2026 Golfzon County Ora Cup National Junior Golf Championship,\" held April 29–30. The foundation carried out a fair and transparent selection process, ultimately naming 26 recipients: eight in elementary school, eight in middle school, and ten in high school.
Selected as a high school scholar, student Lee Si-eun said, \"It felt especially meaningful to both experience Golfzon County Ora's beautiful course and post strong results. With the support from the Yuwon Golf Foundation, I want to grow into an outstanding golfer and one day compete on the world stage.\"
Kim Young-chan, chairman of the Yuwon Golf Foundation, which has run a scholarship program for Jeju's golf prospects since 2021, said, \"The foundation will continue to support young golfers as they take steps closer to their dreams. We plan to help future golf talents develop into world-class players.\"
