The club said the program is part of a sponsorship with Hanwha Financial affiliates (Hanwha Life, Hanwha General Insurance, Hanwha Investment & Securities, Hanwha Life Financial Services, Hanwha Asset Management; hereafter Hanwha Financial) under the joint brand PLUS.
For the 2026 season, the Eagles will back their players through the \"PLUS Big Hit\" promotion in partnership with PLUS.
Under the promotion, a Hanwha player who hits a home run over the right-field monster wall — an 8 m (about 26.2 ft) structure — during a Daejeon home game will earn the 1 million KRW bonus.
To share the excitement with fans, the club will also hold a raffle and award selected winners prizes valued at 1 million KRW.
Hanwha Eagles and PLUS will open the PLUS Run Club inside Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark. The Run Club will serve as a local running hub (Run Base), combining sport and wellness with a café, locker rooms and a recovery area for runners.
The partnership will also roll out fan-focused content tied to the club’s official YouTube channel, Eagles TV, and inning-time events on the ballpark scoreboard to boost the game-day experience.
\"We want to expand the ballpark beyond a place to watch games into a multi-purpose sports space fans can enjoy in daily life,\" a Hanwha Eagles and PLUS representative said. \"We will keep trying new initiatives so both fans and players can take center stage and enjoy the season together.\"
Earlier this year during February’s training camp in Okinawa, the Eagles and PLUS ran a Run Trip for fans chosen by raffle, drawing strong interest.
The Run Trip paired professional running coaching with on-site opportunities to observe Hanwha Eagles players’ training. The event was praised as a fresh wellness concept that blends running with baseball.
