On April 7 (KST), Lee Jung-hoo started in right field and batted sixth at Oracle Park in San Francisco, going 1-for-4 in the Giants' 2026 Major League Baseball home game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The single halted a two-day drought and lifted his season average from .152 to .162 — he’s 6-for-37 on the year.
In the bottom of the 2nd, he led off the inning against Philadelphia right-hander Andrew Painter and flew out to left.
In the bottom of the 3rd, with the Giants leading 3-0 and a runner on first with one out, Lee hit into a 4-6-3 double play.
He then grounded out to short in the bottom of the 5th with two outs.
His fourth at-bat came in the bottom of the 8th. With two outs and the Giants trailing 4-6, Lee singled to center off Phillies right-hander Brad Keller to reach base.
He was left stranded after the next batter failed to drive him in.
The Giants fell to the Phillies, 6-4.
The loss extended San Francisco’s losing streak to four games and dropped them to 3-8 on the season. Philadelphia improved to 6-4.
San Francisco starter Adrian Houser lasted six innings, allowing nine hits, three strikeouts, two walks and four runs. Reliever Ryan Borucki was charged with the loss after recording 0.1 innings while giving up two hits, one walk and two runs. Matt Chapman had two hits and two RBIs but couldn’t prevent the defeat.
Philadelphia’s starter Andrew Painter exited after four innings, yielding nine hits, one strikeout, one walk and four runs, but the Phillies bullpen delivered five scoreless innings to fuel the comeback. Bryce Harper had three hits and three RBIs, including two doubles, and was the difference in the win.
