[Sports Today reporter Shin Seo-young] Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), who suffered an ankle injury while with England during the March international window, is back in training and has boosted his chances of playing in Bayern's UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

Bayern travel to Madrid to face Real Madrid in the first leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League quarterfinals at the Santiago Bernabéu on the 8th at 4:00 a.m. KST.

The club brought upbeat news for supporters ahead of the match.

German outlet Bild reported on the 7th that Kane, sidelined by an ankle problem, has returned to full team training and was included in the squad for the trip to Madrid.

According to the report, Kane took part in the final session before the big game and left a positive impression. He showed no issues during light warm-ups, passing drills and sprint work, increasing the likelihood he'll be available for the Real Madrid game.

Kane hurt his ankle during a closed training session after being called up by England in March. He continued to experience pain and missed the friendly against Japan (0-1).

Upon returning to Munich, he was initially omitted from matchday squads, raising doubts about his Champions League availability.

This time, however, he made the traveling party, signaling a likely return. Bild added that whether Kane will start will be decided just before kickoff.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said in his pre-match news conference, \"We'll wait until tomorrow. After a final check we'll make the decision. His return is certainly positive news.\"
