[Sports Today reporter Sang-pil Lee] The Doosan Bears beat the KT Wiz in a dramatic extra-innings victory.

Doosan defeated KT 8-7 on April 10 at Suwon’s KT Wiz Park in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League.

The win was Doosan’s second straight; the Bears improved to 4-1-6 (W–T–L) and remained in seventh place. KT dropped its second straight game and sits at 7-4, tied atop the standings with the LG Twins and SSG Landers (both 7-4).

Park Jun-soon and Ahn Jae-seok each finished with two hits and two RBIs. Cameron added two hits and an RBI, while Kim Min-seok had one hit and two RBIs, pacing the offense. Starter Kwak Bin delivered six scoreless innings, allowing one hit with nine strikeouts and four walks but left without a decision. Lee Yong-chan worked a scoreless inning (one hit, one strikeout, one walk) and picked up the win.

KT starter Sauer lasted six innings, giving up seven hits, four runs with four strikeouts and four walks. Kim Min-su was charged with the loss after recording 0.1 innings, allowing two hits and two runs.

Doosan set the tone early.

In the top of the first, Park Chan-ho’s double set up Park Jun-soon’s RBI single for a 1-0 lead. In the top of the third, Park Chan-ho drew a walk and a subsequent wild pitch put a runner in scoring position; Park Jun-soon followed with an RBI double to make it 2-0.

Kwak Bin stifled KT’s lineup for much of the night, keeping Doosan in front.

In the top of the sixth, after leadoff walk by Yang Eui-ji, Cameron ripped an RBI triple and Kim Min-seok added a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 4-0.

But KT battled back.

After Kwak left, KT opened its rally in the bottom of the seventh. Singles by Ryu Hyun-in and Lee Jeong-hoon and a walk to Kim Sang-su loaded the bases, and Choi Won-jun’s bases-loaded walk cut the deficit. With the bases still full, Kim Hyun-soo delivered a two-RBI hit and Hilliard followed with an RBI single to knot the game at 4-4.

The score remained deadlocked through the ninth, and the game headed to extra innings.

Doosan seized control in the 11th. Cameron led off the top half with a double and Kim Min-seok’s RBI single put Doosan up 5-4. After Jo Soo-haeng’s sacrifice bunt produced a one-out, runners at the corners situation, KT committed an error that allowed another run and stretched the lead to 6-4. Ahn Jae-seok later delivered a two-run single to make it 8-4.

KT countered in the bottom of the 11th when Bae Jeong-dae ripped a two-base hit that drove in three runs, cutting the gap to 8-7. KT drew walks to reload the bases, but pinch-hitter Jang Jin-hyuk struck out to end the threat. Doosan held on for the 8-7 win.
