The race for V-League postseason berths is still wide open. Woori Card in the men’s division and IBK Industrial Bank in the women’s division each claimed crucial late-season victories to keep their playoff hopes alive.
On the 14th at Seoul’s Jangchung Gymnasium, Woori Card edged Korea Electric Power 3-2 (25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 15-8) in the men’s Round 6 matchup of the 2025–26 V-League.
With postseason hopes on the line, Woori Card picked up two valuable points to move to 19-16 (54 points), closing to within one point of fourth-place KB Insurance (55 points).
Korea Electric Power, which entered the night in position to clinch a spot, added one point and remained third at 19-16 (56 points). They still hold the advantage but have not yet sealed their postseason berth.
Korean Air (69 points) and Hyundai Capital (66 points) have already clinched spots, but up to two more postseason berths remain undecided.
With just a two-point spread separating third through fifth, the standings are murky. Third-place Korea Electric Power and fourth-place KB Insurance face each other next, while Woori Card finishes the regular season against Samsung Fire & Marine.
If the gap between third and fourth is three points or fewer, the fourth-place team can still qualify for the postseason via a play-in.

Rafael Araujo (registered as Araujo) led Woori Card with 26 points and Ali Haghparast (registered as Ali) added 24, a combined 50-point effort. Araujo and Han Tae-jun each contributed three blocks as Woori Card totaled 14 blocks on the night.
Korea Electric Power’s Sheron Vernon (registered as Vernon) scored a game-high 27 points, but his efforts weren’t enough to secure the win.
Woori Card looked on track after taking the first two sets, but Korea Electric Power rallied to win the third and fourth and force a fifth set.
Woori Card responded in the decider.
Araujo’s open attacks and Lee Sang-hyun’s blocks pushed Woori Card out to a 14-8 lead, and Lee closed the match with a quick attack.

In the women’s division, IBK Industrial Bank posted a 3-0 sweep of GS Caltex (25-15, 25-19, 32-30) at Hwaseong Gymnasium.
The women’s playoff picture tightened on the final weekend. IBK improved to 17-18 (54 points), drawing level with fourth-place GS Caltex at 18-17 (54 points). Third-place Heungkuk Life, having completed its regular season, sits at 57 points.
IBK still has one final game against Korea Expressway Corporation, while GS Caltex closes the season against Hyundai E&C.
IBK’s Victoria Danchak (registered as Victoria) scored 23 points, Yook Seo-young added 19 and Choi Jeong-min had 12. For GS Caltex, Yoo Seo-yeon scored 18 and Tokoku Reina (registered as Reina) chipped in 10, but Giselle Silva (registered as Silva) was held to seven points, a limiting factor in their loss.
IBK rode the hot hands of Yook and Victoria to take the first two sets. The third set was a battle: GS Caltex reached set point at 24-23 behind consecutive blocks from Kim Mi-yeon and Choi Yoo-rim.
IBK answered with a block by Lee Ju-ah and a quick attack from Victoria to force an extended deuce. The back-and-forth reached 30-30, and at 31-30 Victoria sealed the win by blocking Reina’s quick attack.
