[iNews24 Reporter Chae-O Park] Busan Urban Corporation announced on March 25 that it will launch the 2026 BMC Social Contribution Partners competition to tackle community challenges and generate social value.
The competition seeks to identify and support practical social-contribution initiatives addressing local issues, targeting welfare agencies, nonprofit organizations, and social enterprises in the Busan region.
The total fund is KRW 100,000,000 (about USD 66,000), with grants up to KRW 20,000,000 (about USD 13,200) per organization. Applications are open from March 25 through April 8. After preliminary and final evaluations, winners will be announced next month.

The corporation said it will develop tailored programs that reflect local characteristics and needs and establish a sustainable social-contribution framework through collaboration with local organizations.
Priority will be given to projects that can deliver measurable improvements in areas such as support for vulnerable populations, community revitalization, and environmental enhancement. Selected organizations will receive grant funding and collaborative support for project implementation.
