Gangwon Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Service is launching regional digital training for farmers in 2026.

The agency has scheduled sessions for roughly 20 farmers per region: Yeongseo on the 10th at the Future Agriculture Education Center’s information training room, and Yeongdong on the 17th at the Gangneung City Agricultural Technology Center. The classes are designed to help farmers apply generative AI to farming operations, marketing and sales, and administrative tasks.

The curriculum, titled “Basic AI and Applications for Farmers,” covers generative AI fundamentals and prompt techniques; farm applications such as pest and disease forecasting and preparing work plans; direct-to-consumer produce promotion and product-description writing; creating online product pages; and preparing business plans.

Jang Eun-ha, head of Research Cooperation at the Gangwon Agricultural Research and Extension Service, said, “We will expand training support so farmers can use AI not only to address farming challenges but also to strengthen promotion, sales, and administrative work.”
