울산 Ulsan City will begin piloting the Ulsan Foreign Workers Support Center at Terrace Park in Ilsan-dong, Dong District on the 6th, responding to a growing number of foreign workers.

The center occupies roughly 390 square meters (about 4,200 sq ft) and will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, to accommodate workers who cannot visit on weekdays.

During the pilot phase, counselors from various national backgrounds will offer multilingual counseling on legal, labor and residency issues.

After the center opens formally, services will be expanded to include Korean-language classes and industrial safety training.

The Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency will operate the center under contract and, in cooperation with companies such as HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, will serve as an integrated hub to help foreign workers settle into the community.
