At about 4:32 p.m. on the 13th, a construction worker in his 60s identified only as A fell at a new officetel construction site in Geumjeong-dong, Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
He was on a ladder truck about 25 m above the ground, replacing an excavator wire when the incident occurred.
The work platform began to shake, and he lost his balance before falling to the ground.
Responding paramedics transported A, who was in cardiac arrest, to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are interviewing site personnel and investigating the circumstances of the accident, including whether safety procedures and regulatory requirements were followed.
