The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has partnered with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province government to introduce a streamlined online application system for the Jeju Safe School Trip service.

On March 27, the education office said the system leverages Jeju’s Safe School Trip platform to reduce administrative burdens on schools.

Notably, this is the first administrative-improvement initiative of its kind to be expanded beyond Gyeonggi: public and private schools under all 17 city and provincial education offices nationwide can now use the service.

Rather than submitting official letters to request facility safety inspection results, schools can now apply for and receive safety and hygiene inspection reports directly through Jeju’s website.

The upgraded system emphasizes △ simpler applications without official letters to cut form-filling time △ standardized templates to minimize errors △ and an online application flow that improves user convenience.

By requesting inspection results through the website, schools avoid drafting separate official letters, reducing administrative workload. Standardized forms streamline procedures, and the ability to upload application files without signing up enhances accessibility.

The education office expects the collaboration to ease school administrative tasks and allow teachers to concentrate more fully on instruction.

An education office official said, "We will continue proactively identifying and implementing improvements to school work based on feedback from the field."
