Police arrested a man in his 30s who unlawfully entered a Busan middle school while heavily intoxicated, harassed students, and then—after being told to leave—continued to cause a disturbance, walking shirtless through nearby businesses.

On the 12th, the Haeundae Police Station in Busan said it detained a man identified as A on suspicion of trespassing and assault and booked him without detention.

According to police, A entered a middle school in Haeundae District at about 11:41 a.m. on the 9th while heavily intoxicated. He allegedly forced three male students to link arms with him and dragged them around, threatening and assaulting them.

Responding officers, alerted by school staff, found A near the school, verified his identity and initially ordered him to return home.

But A ignored that instruction. About two hours later, at around 1:38 p.m., he reappeared at a nearby apartment shopping area. He had removed his shirt and was roaming the complex, unnerving residents.

After repeated calls from neighbors reporting a shirtless man, officers returned and arrested A on a road near the apartment complex.

Investigators determined that A and two companions had shared eight bottles of soju that morning, leaving him severely intoxicated.

A police official said the suspect is so drunk that he cannot reliably recall his actions. Officers are investigating the incident using CCTV footage and witness statements to establish the exact sequence of events.
