Eumseong County, in South Korea’s North Chungcheong Province, announced on the 10th that it will build a Youth Multipurpose Cultural Center within the industrial complex to strengthen welfare support for young workers.
The county plans to break ground on the center in the Geumwang Industrial Complex in the second half of this year, with construction scheduled for completion in December 2027.
The center is designed to support both the work environment and cultural life. Planned amenities include climbing walls and other sports facilities, shared kitchens, co‑working offices, creative studios, and counseling services.
The facility will also be open to general workers. Approximately 1,100 people work in the Geumwang Industrial Complex; that figure rises to about 1,600 when the nearby Geumwang Agro‑Industrial Complex is included.
