At 10:10 a.m. yesterday (April 5), a magnitude 2.4 earthquake struck Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province.

The quake's hypocenter was recorded at a depth of 11 km.

Most people indoors would likely have felt the shaking, and suspended objects would have swayed.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said residents near the epicenter may have felt tremors and urged them to remain cautious.
