He wrote on the social platform Truth Social that it would be "a massive oil gusher" for the world.
He did not explain how transit through the Iran-blockaded Strait of Hormuz would be restored, or what oil he meant by saying it could be seized.
Amid U.S. forces carrying out high-intensity strikes against Iran, the post appears intended to send an optimistic signal to markets.
