Siheung City is accepting applications this March for its annual vehicle tax prepayment program and is offering up to a 3.75% reduction in tax.
Siheung City announced March 10 that it will accept applications for the 2026 annual vehicle-tax prepayment from March 16–31, aiming to ease taxpayers’ burdens and streamline payments.
Under the March prepayment program, vehicle owners who normally pay in two installments (June and December) can prepay the full amount in March and receive a 5% discount on the April–December portion — roughly 3.75% of the annual tax.
The program covers all vehicle types subject to vehicle tax, including passenger cars, motorcycles and taxable machinery.
Those who missed the January prepayment window can still claim the discount by applying during this March period.
Applications can be made in person or by phone through the city’s Tax Management Division, or online via Wetax and the Smart Wetax mobile app without visiting city offices.
Payments may be made through any bank ATM nationwide, Internet Giro, Wetax, virtual account transfers and other available methods.
