This is Hyundai Mobis’s first Europe‑based production site dedicated to supplying parts to foreign automakers.
The Hungary plant manufactures chassis modules—combined steering and braking assemblies mounted under the vehicle body—and will supply the finished modules to Mercedes‑Benz.
In addition to the newly opened Hungary plant, Hyundai Mobis operates Hyundai and Kia‑dedicated factories in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Turkey.
Once the plant under construction in Spain is completed, the company will have five production hubs across Europe.
The new Hyundai Mobis factory is located in Kecskemét in central Hungary. Hungary has rapidly emerged as an automotive and battery production hub in Eastern Europe.
Annual new‑car production there tops 500,000 units, and several global automakers are clustered in the region, enabling fast parts delivery.
Hyundai Mobis operates a just‑in‑sequence production system: it receives automakers’ production schedules in real time and starts manufacturing immediately.
