[Geumsan] Geumsan-dong Elementary School hosted a special morning event to support students' healthy growth and boost school spirit.
On the 3rd, the school announced a breakfast campaign held during morning drop-off that involved students and staff.
The campaign aimed to tackle skipping breakfast—a common issue during adolescence caused by irregular eating habits—and to stress why breakfast matters.
Student leaders, teachers, and PTA members rolled up their sleeves and showed up early to take part.
They greeted arriving students with warm smiles and handed out carefully prepared, balanced grab-and-go meals—like sandwiches and tteok (rice cakes)—along with fresh drinks.
Student council officers stood out, holding signs that read "Breakfast is the best medicine," "A hearty morning," and "Boost your studies," while chanting slogans to encourage their peers to eat breakfast.
The school says the campaign will do more than hand out food; it hopes it will help students build healthy eating habits and feel more emotionally secure.
Principal Lim Ji-yeon said, "I extend my deep thanks to the PTA for volunteering so early for our students," adding, "Seeing our children head to class with full bellies and bright smiles really energizes the whole school."
