[The Public - Reporter Jo Du-hee] Sangha Farm, the rural experiential theme park affiliated with Maeil Dairies, is launching a \"Spring Flower Workshop Picnic\" for the season.
Across the farm in Gochang, North Jeolla, a roughly 650 pyeong (about 23,100 sq ft / 0.53 acres) flower field of blue cornflowers and red poppies sets a vivid spring scene. Low-growing wildflowers are scattered throughout, creating picture-perfect picnic spots. On the main event day, families can take part in the hands-on \"Crab Exploration Expedition,\" a playful program designed with kids in mind.
Farmers Village Hotel is also offering a \"Spring, Flowers & Crab Gourmet Package.\" Running April 24 through May 30, the package includes one night’s stay, a soy-marinated crab set meal for two, online and in-store discount coupons, reduced rates for workshops and farm experiences, and a beverage voucher for Paul Bassett’s Seonunsa location. Prices range from about ₩270,000 to ₩400,000 (approximately $203–$300).
On-site dining highlights seasonal spring ingredients. Sangha Kitchen features plates like Spring Flower Crab Rosé Pasta, Crown Daisy and Baby Octopus Pasta, and a Spring Greens Primavera. The Farm Restaurant serves Korean favorites such as doenjang hot pot with roe-filled female crab, baby octopus and black pork stir-fry, and spring greens bibimbap.
The season’s centerpiece is the Workshop Play Zone. Visitors can watch real production processes in the farm’s five signature workshops and follow a stamp-book tour that uses docent-style narration to bring each workshop and key farm space to life.
Nearby, hands-on booths showcase botanical art, pressed-flower art, and recycled crafts that capture the feel of spring. Fusion gugak (Korean traditional music) and jazz busking performances add to the lively picnic atmosphere.
Sangha Farm is also running seasonal workshops like \"Make Spring-Infused Soy-Marinated Crab,\" terrarium-making, sausage-making, and classes for strawberry jam and castella cake. During Children’s Day week, special arboretum programs, a strawberry package, and an animal-interaction experience at the farm will be available.

Meanwhile, Sangha Farm is launching a new soy-marinated crab made with seasonal, roe-filled female crabs and a master fermenter’s secret soy sauce. The product highlights deep umami and a rich texture, and will debut on Sangha Farm’s online store as a signature spring gourmet item.
