[Sports Seoul | Reporter Chosunwoo Jo] Ottogi’s two High-Protein Cup Noodles snagged Mintel’s 2026 Best of Innovation Award in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) food & drink category.
Mintel’s Best of Innovation Awards spotlight brands and products that are driving change across the global consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Judges evaluate consumer relevance, market impact, and innovation to name the top 10 products in each region.
The two High-Protein Cup Noodles made APAC’s top 10 — one of only two Korean products to do so. Mintel praised the release for “reinterpreting classic instant ramen with high craftsmanship, adding fresh appeal to a familiar category.”
Launched last July, the pair features tofu-sheet noodles that deliver about 12 grams of protein while keeping calories around the 100-calorie mark. Since debuting, cumulative sales have topped 2.2 million units.
Riding this win, Ottogi will refresh the High-Protein Cup Noodles starting in April, tweaking the recipe to dial back sweetness for better balance and updating the packaging so it stands out more clearly on store shelves. blessoo@sportsseoul.com
