[Inews24 reporter So Jin-seop] Jecheon's Myeongdong neighborhood is rolling out "Meat Day" — a weekly food fest every Friday and Saturday along Myeongdong Gogi-ro (formerly Myeongdong Galbi Alley).
The city launched the initiative to revive Myeongdong's heyday and give a boost to local businesses. The series kicks off on May 1.
Running through Oct. 19, the event will be held 18 times—every Friday and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.—in the on-street parking lot in front of nine restaurants along Myeongdong Gogi-ro. Expect live busking performances, too.
Park Jong-hyeok, head of Jecheon City's Regional Economy Team, urged locals and visitors to come out, saying, "An outdoor meat party set to live busking music offers a unique charm you can only experience in Jecheon's Myeongdong."
