HiteJinro Wins Top Award (Consumer Satisfaction)

HiteJinro's beer brand Terra topped cumulative sales of 5.9 billion bottles last year, underscoring its dominant market presence. That’s the equivalent of 28 bottles a second (330 mL; 11.2 fl oz) — roughly 136 bottles for every adult in South Korea.
After its March 2019 debut, Terra sold 1 million cases in just 39 days — the fastest pace among beer brands — and rode that momentum into explosive growth. It weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and has posted an average annual growth rate of 8% over the past seven years, cementing its place as a leading beer.
In 2024, Terra Light arrived and quickly became the brand’s new engine. Aimed at the “healthy pleasure” crowd, it offers one-third fewer calories than a regular beer and contains zero sugar. Leveraging Terra’s brewing expertise, the product pairs a light body with standout packaging. Using Terra’s 100% Australian pure malt as a base, the company extracts the wort four times longer than with standard beers to deliver the fuller beer flavor light beers often lack.
Terra Light’s appeal comes from blending lower calories and zero sugar with the rich taste and brisk refreshment beer lovers expect. HiteJinro says the satisfying Terra Light experience is boosting sales across the Terra lineup — a true win-win for consumers and the brand.
