[The Public=Reporter Yoo Su-jin] Able Hyundai Hotel & Resort’s Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul (Banyan Tree Seoul) announced on the 28th that its signature restaurant, Festa by Choonghu, will host "Gastronomic Garden" in the restaurant’s outdoor garden.
Set on Festa by Choonghu’s terrace and ringed by the green woods of Namsan, Gastronomic Garden lets city dwellers soak up nature while enjoying premium fine dining right in the heart of Seoul.
The star attraction is a live grill performance that literally brings the kitchen outside. Chefs will fire up a Josper charcoal grill and cook ingredients right before guests’ eyes, filling the air with smoky aroma and turning dinner into a multi-sensory experience that teases sight and smell as much as taste.
Chef Choonghu Lee has put together a five-course tasting menu that celebrates the pure flavors of seasonal produce. Expect two savory bites, lobster, a refined main course, and dessert — plus a plated selection featuring premium charcuterie from Chef Lim Gi-hak’s label, Monsieur Cochon, for an extra layer of indulgence.
The main course reinvents the classic burger as an open-style plate, giving a familiar favorite a sleek, modern twist. There’s also a dedicated kids’ menu, so families can relax and enjoy the evening together.
The wine list elevates the experience even further. Backed by Festa by Choonghu’s recognition from the Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards, the team has curated seven wines — including Champagne, whites and reds — selected to pair beautifully with each course.
The way those wines harmonize with the charcoal-grilled dishes highlights the essence of fine dining and completes an unforgettable outdoor meal that awakens the senses.
Live music will set the mood on early summer nights. Vocal, piano and guitar performances will unfold across two sets in a corner of the garden, and soft lighting will amplify the romantic atmosphere.

Banyan Tree Seoul will host Gastronomic Garden for 10 evenings, every Thursday and Friday night from May 14 through June 19, excluding May 28 and 29.
