Wild-caught sashimi served with a set meal?

The show visits Suyang Restaurant, a seaside spot in Goseong, South Gyeongsang Province, that’s been serving the community for 43 years. Customers come for set meals built around same-day seasonal fish like gizzard shad, mullet, and gajimegi.

The owners head out to sea each dawn to source fresh, wild fish, and they serve a full tray with 10 side dishes — from seasoned greens and marinated crab to fried eggs and soybean paste soup — for 10,000 KRW (about $7.50). What began as a boarding-house kitchen has become a beloved local restaurant where longtime regulars keep coming back for the care and gratitude served with every meal.

A curious tank pops up in a rural town

In Busan, a toy tank that looks like a scaled-down real vehicle is catching attention. Maker Woo Si-won spent about a year experimenting at his son's request before completing a rideable mini tank.

He didn't stop there. Woo has built zip lines, robots, rockets and other playground equipment for kids, and he’s expanded into practical inventions — from a skewer-grilling machine and a puffed-rice snack maker to a scallion-peeling device for farms. His knack for turning imagination into working machines adds a playful, inventive spark to everyday life.

Seoul's Gwanaksan area has emerged as a new hot spot. A belief that visiting Gwanaksan brings good luck has spread, drawing many people who hike with wishes in mind. Long lines now form as visitors wait to snap summit photos, and interest in feng shui interpretations is rising alongside the trend.

Goesan Traditional Market in Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, blends tradition with energy. Opened in 1970, it operates as both a permanent market and a periodic five-day market, offering a wide array of local agricultural specialties. One fried-chicken stall run by a couple has become a market attraction — they fry about 1 metric ton of chicken a day in seven cauldrons, and their flashy costumes and performances draw crowds.

A flower vendor who writes calligraphic messages on the spot is another crowd-pleaser. Visitors can sample hangover soup made with river snails from the local stream, dine at a 45-year-old restaurant, or buy fresh meat from a butcher who processes it on-site — all offering a true taste and feel of the region.
