(The CEN News / Reporter Lee Ji-sun) SBS's 'Live Today' is shining a spotlight on the luminous beauty of traditional crafts and the addictive char that only high-heat cooking can deliver.

Set to air at 6 p.m. on the 26th, the show uses its "Curious Jobs" and "Taste With a Reason" segments to introduce viewers to local artisans and standout neighborhood eateries.

In the "Curious Jobs" segment, the program profiles an artisan who reinterprets najeonchilgi—traditional Korean mother-of-pearl lacquerware. The crew visits workshops where makers coax an enduring, iridescent sheen from each piece.

Stops include Line Art in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and Hyeil Crafts in Seoul’s Namdaemun Market, highlighting craftsmen who pour their souls into every shell inlay while blending time-honored technique with modern flair.

In the "Taste With a Reason" segment, the episode titled "Jeyuk Reimagined with Char Flavor" shines a light on a Pyeongchon, Anyang favorite: Kim Jubangjang Junghwa Jeyuk (Chef Kim’s Chinese-Style Jeyuk).

The show reveals the secret behind the restaurant's draw: an intense wok-char produced by powerful heat, combined with a Chinese-inspired recipe that lifts this jeyuk well above the usual spicy pork stir-fry.
