Diptyque's Candle Makeover: Discover the New 2026 Collection and Its Unique Scents

French niche fragrance house Diptyque has redesigned its signature candle for the first time in roughly 60 years—and it’s unveiling a celebratory digital out-of-home (DOOH) film outside its Seongsu boutique.

Diptyque captured the candle’s entire burn—about 50 hours from first light to final ember—in one continuous, unedited film. No speed-ups, no cuts: the footage shows how the scent’s character evolves over time, translating the brand’s olfactory story into a quietly mesmerizing visual experience.

The film will play continuously for roughly 50 hours on the “Seongsu Canvas” screen opposite Diptyque’s Seongsu boutique, running from 11 a.m. on the 17th through 1 p.m. on the 19th.

For the relaunch, Diptyque preserved its heritage while sharpening design, scent-delivery technology, and sustainability. The glass vessel keeps its iconic oval silhouette, but the details are more refined and the label’s graphics and typography have been updated.

The formula and delivery were overhauled as well: an eight-step process blends fragrance concentrates into the wax for optimal integration, and wicks have been reengineered to suit each scent, resulting in a more even, richer fragrance throw.

Diptyque is also introducing five new fragrances: CAFÉ—warm roasted beans with woody undertones; ORTIE—fresh green notes with a soft, forest-like character; SÉSAME NOIR—the nutty, roasted aroma of sesame paired with woody accords; RHUBARBE—a fruity scent that highlights a bright, plant-like tartness; and SHISO—aromatic perilla leaf balanced with spice and a subtle almond note.

To celebrate the relaunch and the Seongsu boutique’s first anniversary, Diptyque is offering customer promotions. Through the 23rd, anyone who films the Seongsu DOOH display, posts it on social media, and adds Diptyque’s KakaoTalk channel can receive a full-size candle—limited to the first 10 people each day. The brand is also offering tiered gifts with purchase, including a leather backpack, fragrances, and miniature candles.
