April 10–12: Soak up spring at Donguibogam Village with food, sights and activities

Sancheong County will host the 2026 Sancheong Agricultural and Specialty Products Expo on the lawn at Donguibogam Village from April 10–12.
The event, titled "Sancheong on the Rise Again! Opening the Future with Premium Agricultural Products," reflects the region’s push for a fresh leap forward in agriculture. It’s also a full-on spring celebration of Jirisan—think local flavors, scenic views and interactive experiences.
◇ A hands-on agricultural festival: Agricultural & Specialty Products Expo
This year's expo is more than a market. It’s a multi-dimensional festival where you can see, taste and get involved.
The grounds are divided into themed areas, including the Vitamin-Boost Fruit Zone, Eco Sancheong Bee Zone, Immunity-Boost Herb & Wild Greens Zone, an Agriculture Playground and a Food Zone.
Visitors can browse and buy Sancheong strawberries and apples, natural honey, medicinal herbs, wild greens and Sancheong black pork. There are also hands-on programs that let you experience how these products are made.
Highlights include strawberry cake workshops, honey ice cream making, herbal tea tastings, wild greens cooking classes, farm machinery displays and traditional games—an agricultural playground designed for all ages.
◇ Revving up sales with direct-trade markets
About 30 booths selling agricultural products and herbs will operate on-site. A daily guerrilla discount event offers shoppers savings of up to 50%.
There will also be a special promotion linked to the Sancheong Shopping Mall, creating both offline and online sales channels to provide producers with steady market access and give consumers smart buying options.
◇ Performances and the arts complete the festival
The expo features a lineup of performances to keep the energy high.
On April 10, opening day, agricultural groups will stage a talent show and invited singers Shin Seung-tae and Bae Seo-yeon will perform.
On April 11, the Gyeongnam Gugak Arts Festival and guest singer Son Bin-ah will bring traditional culture to the stage.
April 12 delivers the Sancheong Culture and Arts Festival and a Final Festival, showcasing local arts groups and youth in a spirit of community.
Busking acts and the courtyard play Hyoja-jeon will run throughout the event, offering a steady stream of entertainment for attendees.
◇ Food-focused tourism
The Food Zone will serve hearty local dishes like Sancheong black pork barbecue, sundae (blood sausage) and gukbap (soup with rice).
With Sancheong black pork and organic Korean beef available at discounted prices, the expo is sure to attract food-focused travelers.
◇ Synergy with herbal-medicine tourism
Donguibogam Village, the expo site, is also known as a herbal-medicine themed destination. It offers a range of herb- and traditional-medicine experiences set against scenic nature, making it easy to pair festival fun with nearby sightseeing.
The county plans to use this expo to build a stay-focused festival model that blends agriculture, tourism and culture.
An Su-bok, head of agricultural policy, said, “The Agricultural and Specialty Products Expo is more than an event; it’s an important platform for showcasing the value of Sancheong agriculture. We will continue growing it into a nationwide agricultural festival through distinct, compelling content.”
