WISEU Yeungsan University (President Bu Gu-uk)’s Senior Model Department is turning heads with a bold educational move: faculty served as professional judges while students got front-row access to the region’s biggest beauty event, the Miss Korea regional selection.

On April 14, Geum Han-na, head of Yeungsan University’s Senior Model Department, was appointed a judge for the 2026 Miss Korea Busan–Ulsan Regional Selection at the Tanibay Hotel in Ulsan. With a sharp eye, Geum evaluated candidates’ walks, speeches, and stage presence as she helped choose regional representatives who combine intelligence and beauty.

Notably, many students from the Senior Model program attended the event. It wasn’t just a spectator outing—they observed up close how a large-scale pageant is planned and produced and how contestants deliver polished stage performances. The visit gave them hands-on experience seeing classroom theory brought to life.

After judging, Geum said, "I felt honored to contribute Yeungsan University's expertise as a judge at such a reputable regional contest. The students who joined the visit gained valuable exposure that broadened their outlook as models and sharpened their practical skills."

The Senior Model Department at Yeungsan University pairs rigorous classroom instruction with extensive field training, preparing professionals not only for senior modeling but also for roles across the lifestyle industries—fashion, beauty, and events. This approach has attracted strong interest from the local community and industry partners.
