YouTuber Jo Doo-pal (real name Jo Soo-jin) opened up about his experience after having a tattoo removed.
On the 9th, Jo uploaded a video to his YouTube channel showing his arm following the tattoo removal procedure.
“It’s been about eight months since I started the removal,” he said. “After just four sessions, I’m really pleased with the results.”
He added that he recently looked back at old photos and the tattoo appeared much darker than he remembered. “You notice the difference after each session,” he said, noting that the elbow and forearm areas are particularly painful during treatment.
“I’m glad I decided to remove it when I did,” he continued. “Sometimes I wonder why I got it in the first place, but I respect who I was then. I love who I was, and I love who I am now. I must have had my reasons at the time.”
He also addressed the cost. In response to a subscriber’s question, he said that a long-sleeve tattoo removed over roughly 10 sessions would run about 26 million KRW (approximately $19,500) to 28 million KRW (approximately $21,000).
Jo, who has about 400,000 subscribers, previously revealed that he had his first plastic surgery in the second year of middle school and spent a total of 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000).
