[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] On the 11th, KBS2’s variety series Men Who Do Housework Season 2 aired an episode in which Park Seojin became the full-time caregiver for his sister, Park Hyojeong, after she was injured in a car accident.
The episode also featured Nam Yujeong’s first on-screen appearance with her family. She introduced her older sister, a former announcer, and their parents, drawing attention from viewers.
When Nam agreed to reveal her family’s daily life on camera, Park Seojin warned, “This spot isn’t easy,” referring to the pressure on variety shows to expose everything, including cosmetic procedures. When he asked whether she’d secured consent from family and friends, Nam quipped, “As long as the pay is right,” lightening the mood in the studio.
After Nam mentioned that her sister moved to Ho Chi Minh City after getting married, Park joked, “Too boring — she’s out,” then watched in amazement as Nam showed off an unexpected talent.
Park Seojin also updated viewers on Hyojeong’s condition after the crash. What the family initially thought was a minor fender-bender looked far worse once dashcam footage was shown. Hyojeong said the impact smashed her car’s rear bumper and left the other vehicle nearly totaled.
Seeing his sister after some time, Park alternated between tenderness and gruffness as he cared for her. The caregiving scenes generated comic relief — from maneuvering her wheelchair a bit roughly to sniffing her cast and lightly tapping her ankle with his fist. Park even joked, “I thought the silicone in my nose was melting.”
The episode’s standout moment came when he helped her to the bathroom. Hyojeong asked for assistance, and Park complained about how difficult it would be before giving her a piggyback. He ultimately set her down at the doorway, prompting laughter around the house.
Park also demonstrated his devotion by cutting his sister’s fingernails and toenails while holding his nose. He only began to show real concern after noticing her loss of appetite.
