[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Singer Kim Bada, best known as the vocalist for rock band Sinawe and later Nabi Effect, was arrested after allegedly inhaling marijuana.

On March 9, Sokcho police in Gangwon Province said they detained Kim Bada on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Police allege that Kim possessed and inhaled marijuana at a location in downtown Sokcho around 8:30 p.m. the previous evening. He reportedly admitted to the charges during questioning.

Investigators are probing how he obtained the marijuana and whether there was any additional use. Authorities said they will decide whether to seek an arrest warrant after assessing flight risk and the circumstances of the case.

Kim joined Sinawe in 1995 and served as the vocalist on the band's 5.5th, 6th and 7th albums. He went on to form the band Nabi Effect in 1999.
