[By Go Nari, EPN NPNOW] The 43rd episode of the variety series 'I Paid My Own Way: Solo Tour 4,' co-produced by Channel S and SK Broadband, airs at 9 p.m. on March 28.
For the installment, Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon and Hong In-kyu traveled to Sapporo with their families, sampling Hokkaido seafood favorites such as uni-don (sea urchin rice bowl) and kaisen-don (mixed seafood rice bowl) during a day of culinary stops.
The group met up locally with Kim Dae-hee’s wife and their eldest daughter, Sa-yoon, as well as Hong In-kyu’s son, Tae-kyung. “I really wanted to try uni-don in Hokkaido,” Sa-yoon said. Yoo Se-yoon added, “Sea urchin has become scarce in Tokyo recently and was running about ₩90,000 (roughly $68) per bowl,” drawing attention. Kim Jun-ho cracked a joke to Sa-yoon—“You might end up paying ₩720,000 (about $540)”—prompting laughter from the cast.
They then headed to the uni-don spot Sa-yoon had scoped out. As the children politely led the way, Jang Dong-min observed with a smile, “Now the kids are guiding us.” Kim Jun-ho joked that life is tough without children, and Jang teased, “Even if we had kids now, they wouldn’t be as grown as Sa-yoon until we’re 70,” which set off more laughter. A flustered Kim Jun-ho added, “Our kids wouldn’t reach Sa-yoon’s age until 2046.”
At the restaurant, Tae-kyung impressed everyone by ordering in fluent Japanese, earning his father’s pride and thumbs-up from the cast. During the meal, Sa-yoon checked on Kim Dae-hee’s health, prompting Kim Jun-ho to quip—half-jealously—“You two are so annoying,” which only increased the good-natured ribbing.
The episode showcasing these warm family moments from Sapporo airs as the 43rd installment of Channel S’s 'I Paid My Own Way: Solo Tour 4' at 9 p.m. on March 28.
