Lotte Property & Development will bring its "2026 Spring in Jamsil" festival to Seokchon Lake to celebrate cherry blossom season.

The company said on the 26th that the event runs from the 27th through April 12, taking place along the walking paths near Lotte World Tower and around the lake's eastern section.

Pink lights will brighten the cherry trees around the east lake, and a Cherry Blossom Light Show will run on the hour between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. each evening. The company says it has nearly doubled this year’s illuminated areas compared with last year.

In front of Lotte World Tower, the Werther Garden will feature about 10,000 canola blooms plus roughly 20 varieties of spring flowers, including tulips and daffodils. Media installations with a spring theme will be projected onto the tower’s façade and across Werther Garden. Visitors can also enjoy a Van Cleef & Arpels exhibition-style pop-up and hands-on outdoor workshops like "Make a Spring Flower Crown" and "Decorate a Flower Pot."

A Lotte Property & Development representative said they hope visitors soak up a fresh, flower-filled spring in Jamsil.

CU is introducing a Makeup Palette Maker kiosk that uses AI to analyze personal color and instantly produce custom cosmetics.

According to CU on the 26th, the kiosk takes a facial photo, analyzes the customer's personal color, and recommends shades that match their skin tone. Users can accept the suggestions or pick their own colors, preview them virtually on the screen, and then get a finished palette on the spot.

Each palette contains four pans—two mattes and two glitters—with about 100 shade options. The compact palette can be used as eyeshadow, blush, or brow color, and CU uses base ingredients certified by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

The regular price is 5,000 KRW (approximately $3.75), and CU is offering a launch promotion of 3,500 KRW (approximately $2.63). The small-format kit lasts around four to five uses, making it ideal for trying shades before committing or for travel.

CU first installed the kiosks today at two Seoul locations: Hotel PJ and Yeonnam Ajit. On April 9, the rollout continues to two stores near the Daechi-dong academy district. CU plans to expand to about 100 outlets this year, focusing on neighborhoods with high numbers of women, students and tourists, including university areas, cram-school districts and tourist sites.

Musinsa announced plans to create a circular system for fashion resources with its partner brands, collecting not only leftover inventory but also production samples and fabric scraps for reuse and recycling.

The company said on the 26th that Musinsa Standard, Musinsa Used, its subsidiaries and domestic partner brands will join the project. Collected items will follow two tracks: reuse and recycling. Reusable items in good condition will be sold through Giving Plus's circular stores, with proceeds directed to public-interest funds supporting marginalized communities.

Unsellable stock and excess fabrics will undergo recycling to be reborn as new products. Musinsa will allocate its own budget to break down and process discarded inventory into textile materials, which will then be turned into household items for donation or sale, creating a virtuous cycle.

This year the company will also produce upcycled wardrobes and clothing racks, collaborating with brands and artists to elevate design. The finished pieces will be used to improve living conditions for reclusive or isolated young people and those preparing for independent living.

A Musinsa representative said the partnership with Giving Plus gives brands a chance to contribute socially while showcasing Musinsa’s distinctive ESG efforts.
