Coway launched the new models in three tiers — R7, R5 and R3 — to match a range of lifestyles and sleep needs.
The R7 Stretching Motion Bed pairs motion features with a customizable lumbar-stretching system. Built-in dual stretching cells and a lumbar support system raise the lower back in 14 increments up to about 700 mm (roughly 27.6 inches), helping to relax tightened muscles before and after sleep.
Users can select from 15 automatic stretching routines or use a manual mode to set the targeted area, repetitions and lumbar height. The bed also offers four preset position modes — zero-gravity, TV-watch, upper-body raise and lower-body raise — for added comfort.
The R5 Stretching Bed focuses squarely on stretching to speed recovery around sleep. It uses dual stretching cells adjustable across 12 levels to concentrate on lumbar relaxation and offers the same automatic and manual modes found on the R7. An intuitive wired LCD remote with clear display and voice-recognition capability allows users to operate the bed safely and easily while lying down, even during stretches or in low-light conditions.
The R3 Motion Bed emphasizes precise angle adjustments, the core function of a motion bed. It allows fine control over four zones — head, upper body, lumbar and lower body — and includes a 'MY Posture' feature that saves frequently used positions. A dedicated mattress with a four-layer structure combining cloud memory foam and Ultimate HD foam provides firm, consistent support in any position.
◆ Smart features: app control and a stretching wake-up alarm
The BEREX R Series incorporates smart technology for easier control. Connect via the Coway IoCare+ app to operate the bed from a smartphone. The R7 and R5 support a wake-up alarm that uses gentle stretching to rouse users, syncing alarm sounds or mode sequences to the scheduled time. The app also delivers personal stretching reports and habit-tracking tools for more systematic sleep management.

Another distinguishing feature is the BEREX Sleep System 81, which lets buyers configure up to 81 combinations of mattress type, size, headboard design and color to create a personalized sleep setup.
The benefits are especially clear in twin-bed configurations where two mattresses sit side by side. Partners with different sleep preferences can each choose their preferred mattress within a single bed frame.
For example, a twin bed can hold two R7 mattresses, or mix models — R7 on the left and R5 or R3 on the right.
Coway also offers options for those who want motion or stretching functions on only one side of a twin bed. Customers can select the twin-bed-specific 'RS Smart Bed' or the 'R0 Standard Bed.' For instance, one side could be an R7 while the other is an RS Smart Bed or the R0 Standard Bed, with the latter allowing mattress firmness to be adjusted in nine steps via a slip cell.
